Terms of Service

Shiloh App LLC | getshiloh.com
Effective Date: 07/25/2026

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Shiloh platform, operated by Shiloh App LLC ("Shiloh," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using getshiloh.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy at getshiloh.com/privacy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you are using Shiloh on behalf of an educational institution, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of the Service

Shiloh is a student productivity platform. Core features include:

  • Syllabus upload and AI-based deadline extraction — upload a PDF or photo of your course syllabus and Shiloh extracts deadlines, assignments, and grading information automatically in approximately 30 seconds
  • Manual deadline entry — add or correct deadlines by hand if AI extraction is incomplete
  • Grade calculator — auto-populated from your syllabus's grading structure; supports weighted and points-based schemas, what-if scenario planning, and a reverse "what do I need on the final?" calculator
  • Deadline tracker — checklist of all assignments, groupable and markable complete
  • Calendar — Month, Week, 2-Day, Day, and List views of all deadlines across all classes
  • Per-deadline email reminders and Daily Digest — automated emails sent via SendGrid
  • Professor contact info — optionally store a professor's name, email, and office hours per class
  • Feedback page — submit feedback directly to the Shiloh team

3. Free and Premium Tiers

Free Tier

The free tier includes syllabus upload, AI deadline extraction, grade calculator, deadline tracker, Month and List calendar views, and up to 4 active classes.

Shiloh Premium

Shiloh Premium is a paid subscription that unlocks the Daily Digest email and unlimited classes. Premium is available on a monthly or annual basis, with a 21-day free trial for new subscribers.

Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and authorize Shiloh to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the applicable rate. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Shiloh reserves the right to change Premium pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice to active subscribers.

Institutional Access

If your college or university has licensed Shiloh at the institutional level, you may receive access to all features at no direct charge to you. In this case, your institution — not you — is the paying customer. Your institution may recover the cost through a student technology fee or similar mechanism. Shiloh is not responsible for any fees your institution charges separately.

4. Accounts and Eligibility

You must sign in using a Google or Microsoft account. By signing in, you grant Shiloh permission to receive your name and email address from the respective provider. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.

5. Acceptable Use

You may use Shiloh to upload course materials, track deadlines and grades, receive reminders, and export calendar data for personal academic use. You may not:

  • Upload content you do not have the right to submit
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
  • Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the security or availability of the Service
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. AI Accuracy Disclaimer

Shiloh uses the Anthropic Claude API to extract deadlines, assignment names, and grading information from documents you upload. AI extraction is not perfect and may be incomplete, incorrect, or misformatted. The "What Do I Need?" reverse grade calculator produces hypothetical planning results only — results are never written to your actual grade record. You are solely responsible for verifying all deadline, assignment, and grading information against your official course syllabus and your institution's records. Shiloh is a planning aid, not a substitute for your school's official records or your professor's communications.

7. Email Communications

By creating an account, you may receive per-deadline reminder emails and, if enabled, Daily Digest emails at the address associated with your account. You may manage or disable these in your account settings at any time. All emails are sent from reminders@getshiloh.com via SendGrid. Each digest email includes an unsubscribe option.

8. School Affiliation

During onboarding, Shiloh asks which school you attend. Your response is used for internal institutional adoption analytics only and is not sold or shared with any third party. You may request deletion of this information by contacting hello@getshiloh.com.

9. Feedback

If you submit feedback through the Feedback page, you grant Shiloh a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use and act on that feedback to improve the Service. Submissions are stored in our database. We will not publicly attribute feedback to you by name without your permission.

10. User Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any content you upload to Shiloh, including syllabus files. By submitting content, you grant Shiloh a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you.

The Shiloh platform — including its design, software, branding, and underlying technology — is owned by Shiloh App LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.

11. Institutional Agreements

Educational institutions that wish to deploy Shiloh for their students under a formal agreement should contact us at hello@getshiloh.com to execute a separate institutional license agreement and Data Processing Agreement. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and an executed institutional agreement, the institutional agreement governs as to that institution and its students.

12. Dual-Credit and Minor Users

Some users of the Service are enrolled in dual-credit programs and may be under 18. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only in connection with your enrollment at a participating institution and with the understanding that a parent or legal guardian may contact us at hello@getshiloh.com to request access to or deletion of your account information. Shiloh does not use any user's information for targeted advertising, regardless of age.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT AI-EXTRACTED INFORMATION WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE, OR THAT REMINDER OR DIGEST EMAILS WILL BE DELIVERED WITHOUT DELAY OR FAILURE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING ALL DEADLINE AND GRADING INFORMATION AGAINST YOUR OFFICIAL COURSE MATERIALS.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHILOH APP LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES RESULTING FROM MISSED DEADLINES, INACCURATE AI-EXTRACTED INFORMATION, FAILED REMINDER DELIVERY, OR PAYMENT PROCESSING ERRORS.

15. Force Majeure

Shiloh App LLC shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure results from causes beyond our reasonable control, including outages at Anthropic, Railway, Stripe, SendGrid, or other infrastructure providers.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shiloh App LLC, its officers, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

17. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deletion is permanent. All associated data — classes, grades, deadlines, syllabus files, reminders, and preferences — is removed within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you have an active Premium subscription, cancel it before deleting your account to avoid further charges.

18. Dispute Resolution

You and Shiloh App LLC agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails within 30 days, disputes shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. You and Shiloh waive any right to bring claims as a class action or in a representative capacity. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for claims involving intellectual property or unauthorized access.

19. Changes to the Service or These Terms

We reserve the right to modify the Service or these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will notify you via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Non-material changes are effective on posting. If you disagree with a material change, you may delete your account before the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes not subject to arbitration shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Texas.
